About Jen

I'm Jen Bailey, a certified birth doula serving Central Ohio since 2012 — 400+ births and counting. I'm also a monitrice and student midwife, so I bring an extra layer of clinical understanding to your birth team (never replacing your provider).

For five years I worked as a doula at the hospital alongside my own practice — so I've seen birth in just about every setting. I support families wherever they choose to welcome their babies: home, hospital, or birth center.

My specialties include VBAC, plus-sized birth, first-time parents, difficult previous births, lactation, and postpartum support. My approach is judgment-free and evidence-based: you get the information and confidence you need to advocate for yourself, so your experience can be as individual as you are.

Having my own children taught me firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate the maternity system to get the birth that's best for you. I can't fix the system or make the whole thing easy — but I can walk the path with your family, one family at a time: helping you know what your options are, ask the right questions, and have real conversations with your providers, so things go as smoothly as possible.

When I'm not with birthing families, I'm home in Columbus with my husband David, our kids Zoë and Zeke, one very sweet tripod Maltese rescue, and far more plants than any one household reasonably needs.
